i got 225/45/17's up front but whats going to be the best in the rear? should i run 245/45/17's or 245/40/17's in the rear?
they are 17x8 (not sure of the offset) fn01rc's in front and 17x9 +35 fn's in the rear... and im going more for grip.
the wheels are on a 95 240 with the stock engine and i have tein he coilovers.

you'd probably get a better/faster answer if you post up the width/offset of your wheels.

thats up to you. Are you gonna drift on them? or just for everyday driveing? also what motor do you have?

and i know theres many tire threads on here but there isnt one relating to my exact problem.
i wouldnt have posted this thread if there was someone that already posted one exactly like mine.

Probably 40's in the rear if you can, but in general look at more quality tires like RT's that will make the most difference rather than 40's or 45's....

Really you could and probably should buy some new wheels and run 245/40's or 255/40's all around. For YOUR wheel sizes however I would reccomend 235/40/17 azenis up front and 255/40/17 azenis out back. You could also go with 245/40/17 in the front with minimal bulge, but you'd have to get the hankook rs-2's for that and I don't think that they have 255/40/17.

245/40...245/45 in the back will be too tall and look funky.

225/40 front
235/40 rear
Done.
Obviously you havent given us enough information to let us know what your personal aesthetic preferance is so im assuming you dont want to stretch nor have balloon spec. Your best bet is to learn some fucking tire specs. Look through the fitment thread.

dstar was it really that hard just to put down a tire size? all you had to do was put 40 or 45. there was no need to waste your time or energy gettin all offensive on me.
but thanks to everyone else tho i think i will run the 40's then... and thats all i wanted to know was whether i should run the 40's or 45's.
i got my mind set on 245's already. i just want as wide of tires as i could get without havin them balloon out.

255/40/17 azenis on my 9" wheels. I don't think they're ballooned at all!

I run 235 40 17 front they are like bricks on an 8 inch wheel.
255 on a 9 inch is the same.
I think
235 40 17 F
255 40 17 R

yea thats not bad... i thought 255's might buldge a little on a 9" wheel. i guess not.
but now the only thing is does anyone know of anybody selling a 245/40/17 or maybe even a 235/40/17 for cheap???
