First of all, thanks everyone for posting the reply to help others. I can get to today setup by reading many of that replies and tried them out. Also, searched a lot.

I have just finished my KAT setup, a quick list of my setup so you have an idea where I am coming from.

Z31 T3 turbo
DSM 450cc with resistors
Stock ECU
N60 MAF
SAFC 2
AEM wideband
fmic
NGK gap to 0.28
SSAC top mount manifold.
Ebay wastegate (set at 6 lbs)
Ebay BOV

My problem is if I "gas" it, The rev went up real fast all the way till readline, but the turbo fell flat once it hits about 5 lbs. It feels almost like clutch slip after the full boost at 3200-3400 rpm.

If I "hold" the throttle when it is starting to boost at 2300 rpm, Then it continue to pull hard all the way till redline.

I am going to dyno tune it next week, but just want to see if what you guys think? I am suspecting that could it be my clutch is actually slipping? Or it is just not tune properly. Can a bad tune cause the boost to be "flat" after it hits full boost?

I have driven quite a few turbo cars, but it usually pulls all they way till higher rpm even though it hits full boost at 3200 rpm.

Sorry for the long post.

Please give me some advice or your idea.

Thank you very very much.

it is probab ly both, the clutch and tune... do you smell anything strange from the shift boot? usually u can smell a slipping clutch. its pretty rank smelling

Thanks for the reply. I took a friend out with me while tuning the car, Both of us did not smell clutch. Also, clutch is quite new since last March. Do you think that a bad tuning can cause the power to fell flat right when it hit full boost?

Thanks.

ok i just looked up and saw your only using the safc which means your not controlling your timing, if you want to get by, you can retard the timing at the dizzy, or you could invest in a msd btm, and it sounds and looks like your hitting full boost and the timing is going out of wack

I have seen some running with stock timing. Also, many retard their timing as much as 9-10*. Do you think 2-3* is enough, like 17* or 18* ??

Thanks again.

well ive got a btm and for each lb of boost it retards the timing 2* so i am set at 20* until i hit boost, and then goes down to about 14

I will try to retard the timing tomorrow to see if that helps. Thanks for the pointers. Appreciate it very much.
