hahaha damn,

you are new to techno / electro.

everyone whos knew has the same songs as you lol, you just forgot... like Sandstorm?

hahaha...

1.) there's going to be about a million posts of "you're not as electroindie as me". people are going to post shit that nobody's ever heard, because guess what, it's shit. that's why nobody's ever fucking heard it. for some reason, if a song is more than a week old, it's unlistenable.
2.) people are going to see my choices, and other peoples' choices, and go "LOL THAT IS MORE THAN A WEEK OLD YUO FAGIT". so is life.

that said. i guess i'll rattle off some pretty standard issue stuff everybody should have.

Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation
Prodigy - Fat of the Land
Prodigy - Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
Crystal Method - Vegas
Crystal Method - Drive
Crystal Method - Tweekend
Crystal Method - Community Service 1 & 2
Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust
Chemical Brothers - Push The Button
BT - ESCM
BT - Movement in Still Life
Leftfield - Leftism
Daft Punk - Discovery
Daft Punk - Homework
Daft Punk - Human After All
Oakenfold - Bunkka
i could go on, but this is pretty basic stuff. i've really never dug too deep. Dieselboy, Benny Benassi, Infected Mushroom, Felix Da Housecat, Junkie XL, Avalanches, Basement Jaxx... the lines blur on what genre everything really is. get on amazon or itunes and listen to samples of all of these guys, you'll find something you like.

also try...
lasgo
milk inc
sylver
darude
paul oakenfold
sasha and digweed
tiesto
BT
chemical brothers
crystal method

and yeah six days is a fucking SICK song

zombie nation is whats happenin! get on dem shits!

really though not a good idea to mention pirating as the basis of your thread. it'll probably get locked.

and if you want to run some searches, heres a couple places you could start (along with what everyone else has mentioned)

Nine inch Nails, Boards of Canada, Beck, Thievery Corporation, 311,Dj Mehdi, Sebastian, fujiya &; miyagi, Portishead,Telefon tel aviv, Depeche mode,

The talking heads, the postal service, Wagner, Stravinski, Radiohead, Outkast, Cake, Pat Metheny, Chick korea, LCD soundsystem, Juan luis Guerra, Mana, Calle 13, Daft punk, Gorillaz, Blur, Oasis, Zero 7, Autechre, Rage, Air, MSI, Duran Duran, Logistics, Jamiroquai, Jega, Peaches, Chemical Brothers,

Sasha, Goldfrapp, Royksopp, M83, Justice, chk chk chk, Dizzee Rascal, the Human league, Cabaret Voltaire, Gabriel &; Dresden,

Damien Marley,Clint Mansell, Phillip Glass,M.A.N.D.Y., Brazillian Girls,Booka Shade, Aphex Twin, Tricky, Thomas Dolby, Dre, Brazilian Girls, the rapture, the klaxons, Hot Chip, Ojos de Brujo, squarepusher, plaid,

that should get a nice varying degree of multiple genres of music.(and a couple gig's on the ol' ipod)

oh, and i want to add "venetian snares" partly as a joke but mostly 'cause i likes em!

This thread doesn't really matter anymore.

Since the Thread Starter decide to screw around with a second screen name and post racially insensitive remarks, he has been Pinked for a year. He can't even see Off Topic until 2009.

I suppose I can leave it open for now, so other music newbs can get some info.

Tranceformer mix from 1999, it rocks.

I really wish Romolo (Rom) Di Prisco would make an actual album. For those who don't know who he is, he makes music for videogames. He's made some of the finest trance music I've ever heard. If you've ever played the old Need for Speed games you will hear his music in them, like Hot Pursuit, etc. I've got some of his tracks that took me forever to find...and some still aren't the full versions.

An example of his music (one of my favorite tracks):
http://youtube.com/watch?v=njBnKgvWxiY

For those who like techno music from videogames or just videogame music in general, check out Galbadia Hotel http://gh.ffshrine.org/. They've got a really big collection of music there. Be sure to check out the music from Extreme-G (old game for N64) and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune (1 or 2 can't remember). Extreme G's tracks are pretty short but they good regardless.

Yuzo Koshiro is the guy who did the tracks for Wangan Midnight and a few other games. He's got some pretty good stuff as well.

One his songs called Blue Blazes:

so? doesnt mean it isnt still a decent song. i mean fuck i still listen to Castles In the Sky sometimes.

not all good techno, regardless of genre, has to be fucking uber obscure.

1.) there's going to be about a million posts of "you're not as electroindie as me". people are going to post shit that nobody's ever heard, because guess what, it's shit. that's why nobody's ever fucking heard it. for some reason, if a song is more than a week old, it's unlistenable.
2.) people are going to see my choices, and other peoples' choices, and go "LOL THAT IS MORE THAN A WEEK OLD YUO FAGIT". so is life.

I know some people like that
