whats the difference between the open DIFF and an LSD? or should i say a VLSD? im about to buy an s14 open DIFF... and he says its an LSD or ist it? im going to get the s13 cover with it so that means it will fit! 80 bucks you cant go wrong right?

okay, an open diff and a LSD (limited slip differential), and a VLSD (viscous limited slip differential), are 3 entirely different things. &nbsp;They've been discussed MANY MANY times here, so just use the search function at the top and you should find all the info you need.

I'm having trouble understanding your post tho... if you're buying an s14 with an open diff, what do you mean when you say "and he says it's an LSD"? &nbsp;either it is or it isn't. &nbsp;you can check the diff housing and look for the orange sticker that indicates that it is so.... s13 cover? you lost me here... u mean diff cover? $80 sounds WAY too cheap.... 80$ for a used open diff maybe, but not a VLSD.
