Due to weather conditions expected tomorrow at 80% chance of rain all day, we are forced to switch round 1 to balcony instead of HTM.
I know some of you are disappointed but we have to abide the safety rules set by the track and fire safety officials. It's always safety first so we can have fun. I hope all of you understand the concern.

I have to go see jason. Some days it feels alright and others it feels sore as hell. It has only been 4 weeks and the muscle hasn't completely healed. Another 2 weeks and it should be good to go. I'm hoping it's healed enough that Jason can show me how to stretch it out.

Might have to drive one handed if it feels too sore, not really a fan of that though.

Jawesome event! I got my ass kicked ALL DAY and got super lucky during competition. Totally not deserved. But I had a ton of fun! Running tandem with Forrest, however, was more scary than fun.

BIG thanks to CityTire for coming out. Super convenient, didn't even need to bring spare wheels! I wish you guys are there every event!

Team tandem comp was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. You guys are getting way too crazy.

Hell yes, so many good pics. And yeah, citytire is the best for coming out and supporting Just Drift for Top Drift Battle. They make things so much easier for us out there. Their shop is pretty convenient to get to as well if you live in LA so I'll definitely be supporting them with all my business from now on. Should be heading back there in a week or so to get some tires mounted on my 17's.

Most of the time, i was trying to get action shots at a slower shutter speed but i wasnt panning perfectly so I kept getting blurry pictures =(.

If I can get the car back to its normal power level, I hope to get the HTM crown back. I have 2 months to get this car back to normal. The shoulder is feeling a little better now so I can actually work on the car. I plan on doing some maintenance and upgrades as well. I choked it up at balcony though. Should have drove better in top 16.

Plans
1. Rewire entire car
2. Swap CAS
3. Add FPR
4. Wire up tach
5. Stitch weld chassis
6. New rear main seal
7. Retorque intake manifold (phenolic gasket)
8. Fix broken exhaust manifold stud
9. New tranny seal
10. Swap subframes and rear uprights (poly bushings)
11. Alignment
12. Put 2-way in non-leaking pumpkin
13. New rear oil seal in tranny gasket
14. New brake shoes out back
15. Install widebody fenders

Got a lot of work to do but I hope the car will feel better than ever.

Jordan was a freaking maniac. Easily made top 16, and closed in on my ass during his FIRST time driving tandem, as if he's been doing this for years. Very impressive. I really don't know how the judges gave me the go-ahead, since we both spun when leading. But anyway big props to Mangoes for drifting the shit out of his daily!

Carl, it was nice hanging out and watching you drive this weekend. It's me Chris. It was cool to see how fast you learned how to drift and at such an advanced level. With some more seat time and a better set up car, I could see you becoming a professional level drifter in a very short period of time. As for next round, HTM might be a tough course to link with a stock Z but I'm not 100% sure of that because I've only driven a stock z one time. If you find the right line on the judged section of the course, you can probably complete it without straightening out. With the skills that you learned at balcony, I'm sure you can pull it off.

Also on the hunt for a car I can dedicate to toss around, one that I can put on a major diet without regrets. So could use some quick advice here... although this might be a bit OT here... is a Long Wheelbase 300zx on a real diet and setup to drift going to cut it for a while, with the 3.0L Twin Cam engine (tweaked to about 235-240 hp)?

I realize a TTurbo would be helpful but I see that as a problem for the future, for now I just want to learn and gradually build the car like I want it = looking like something that escaped from a GT race (quoting my brother).

my friend drifted his z32 back in the day. said it wasnt bad.
but a 2+2 is good for wheel base but all USA 2+2 are NA.
