Just finished swapping in a GT2871 and fired up the car....everything's fine, but the oil feed line is leaking oil from the neck:

It looks like the leak is where the Stainless Line enters the neck....you can see the oil dripping there....if it was dripping from a different spot, it wouldn't "flow upwards" to get to that spot.

I am in a HUGGGGGEEEE bing because I am sposed to get tuned on Monday.....I can take this line off, if i have to...

Anyone have any solutions or know of any thing i can put around the joing to keep it sealed? (a.k.a cement, silicone, etc.)

Thanks

teflon tape might work. or a new fitting

completely off subject, where ya getting it tuned at?

Getting tuned at Evans in PA

The droplet tells me it is dripping from where the neck curves up and to the right....you can see there is some sort of valve there.

PS About to consider just throwing the stock hardline on there with the banjo bolt. I know the stock hardline has a builtin 0.06 restrictor (for T25, whereas T28 should have 0.03)

Does anyone know HOW BAD it is for the turbo (GT2871R) if I used the stock line for a little while?

Thanks

It should work better than that leaking peice of junk. What kind of line is that so i dont buy from them.

Not going to say names, but it is the best you can buy.

I would bet that it is probably my fault, as these lines have a reputation for being top of the line.

I'd say that SS line was damaged during the crimping process making it defective.

That line was improperly swaged.

haha at the teflon tape - people on Zilvia think that fixes everything with threads... hahaha
