i recently replaced my KA DE with another KA DE, i was wondering if u can get in trouble for this when a cop or ref pops your hood. Can they even tell if its not the ORIGINAL engine? BTW this engine came from a junk yard.

Dude why did you post this! Don't you know cops check the internet all the time? They're probably on their way to your house right now to arrest you for doing a completely LEGAL swap! Hide!

there is no real way that they will know unless they check the # on the engine, but it wouldnt matter, it is the stock engine and the emissions should be the same,

Theres nothing to worry about. Most cops dont even notice rbs and sr's. As long as theres no emision problems ur fine. ha thts a pretty silly question

The engine has to be from the same year car or newer. All of the original emissions equipment has to be there.
If you got all that then it's federally legal.
