I heard on some other topic that someone said that when you are braking you shouldnt have the clutch pressed as well cause it wears  down the clutch .  Is that true or is that bull crap?

Total bullshit..  They have nothing to do with each other.  If you downshift you have to hit them at the same time..  Otherwise the car will jerk as the RPMS will rise to matchs the cars speed in a lower gear.  understand?

No.. &nbsp;It will NOT hurt your clutch. &nbsp; &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

what will is if you ALWAYS hold your clutch down. like at a light you dont shift to neutral just hold the clutch over time this wears down your clutch. but dont listen to those other people. ask them what do they do they do when they get to a stop? do they shift to neutral release the clutch then brake? what about on a hill? what do you do then???
