Does anybody know if the '86 200sx turbo o2 sensor is Titania or Zirconia?

Reason I'm asking is because my turbo elbow has the threaded bung for a fat type o2 sensor and I have a redtop sr20det which of course comes with the skinny o2 sensor.

If the '86 o2 sensor is titania would I be able to use that instead and have it still work properly?

If not then it seems I would have to buy the adapter piece to fit the skinny o2 sensor which is part #: 20607-V5000 (for reference).

just block it off, who needs o2 sensors anyways

People who want better gas mileage perhaps?

If any of you old school Nissan gurus could chime in that would be great.

Search my posts for o2 oxygen sensor. Use Z32 fatty sensor. Done.

most asian manufacturers use Titania o2 sensors. i have yet to come across one that doesn't use titania.

Isn't the fatty z32 sensor zirconia? I have a redtop ECU and I thought that it reads titania type o2 sensors such as the skinny o2 off of the redtop?

It doesn't matter. All narrowband sensors are crude and highly inaccurate. The most it can ever do is send a 0 or 1 to the ECU to indicate rich or lean. The ECU doesn't care what compound is used in the sensor.

Use the Z32 sensor.
