I currently own a S13 hatch with a Red Top SR20DET.

I recently replaced a rocker arm due to it being snapped in half.

I took out the timing chain tentioner and guides so that i could just unbolt the camshaft and slip the rocker arm inplace.. HOWEVER.. before I had realised I had to loosen the tention in the timing chain to move the camshaft I tried to take out the CAS.. the CAS did not come out but I might have moved it slightly out of place..

Now i put everything back together and instead of the motor running on 3 cyl. due to the rocker arm not on the exhaust lifter the car will not start at all.. it will try to but it will just backfire..

Im thinking its Due to the CAS or atleast the timing.. what do you think is my problem?

does your RPM tach needle jiggle at all while it's cranking?

It wasnt the timing.. a vacuum line wasnt properly hooked up!!

i do have a new problem.

the car starts and runs however under acceleration it moves sluggishly and the turbo makes a funny noise.. and she is also overboosting at 20psi.. i recently replaced the stock turbo with another, because the old one was toast!! i was wondering if anyone had a diagram or steps on how to put in boost lines properly.. maybe i missed something. my charcoal canister, my oil catch can is deleted, got rid of the recirculation on the BOV, and the make shift boost controller.. enclosed is a pic so you can see if their is anything missing.. can anyone help??

i should mention that i bought the car already swapped and this is why im probably having so many problems.. my friend and i decided to take out the motor when we replaced the turbo.. some things had to be re-wired such as the starter grounds, checked the new clutch, tranny and drive shaft.. all is good there.. but it was just a hack job of a swap and i bought it.. lucky me.... this pic is our result of the swap after we were done..
( this is before i primed the turbo.. hence the CAS unplugged and no fuse..)
