STOLEN CAR: My S14 Kouki CHampagne Gold San Diego Ca.

Please keep a look out for my car, it was stolen at around 3am yesterday morning. I figure most likely it will get chopped up and parted out but just in case anyone happens to see it on the street please notify the police immediately. I worked on the car for the last 3 years and it meant a lot to me so i am hoping there is still a chance i can get it back. The center taillight piece was off the car when it got stolen, the two remaining lights were smoked zenki tails. THanks to anyone that reads this.

If you see the exact same setup covered up by another color that could be a possiblility too.

Also if you happen to come across parts being sold that look like they came off this car please let me know asap. thanks

I think people need to get very serious about protecting their cars, especially if they are parked on the street. No matter how many anti-theft devices the car is equipt with, someone can still show up with a tow truck and take a car away. Im not sure thats the case with my car, but its a very good possibility.

no real distinctive markings, the tires are 45 series falkens st115s on the rear, the rear wheels have the 5zigen valvestems and the fronts have the rubber stems from the se wheels.

people need to get kill switches to turn on there cars. get them set up in a sequence that you have to turn them on or ur car wont start. thats was alot of mr2 owners always did.

what about steering wheel columb lock and a quick release? And what about that bar thing that locks your clutch/brake in place? there's so many theft deterrnts that people could do... people that get their car stolen always lack some kind of protection OR they are just too lazy to lock up their car before they go inside...

like other people have said, the club is pretty easy to get around. even the autolock for the clutch pedal is easy to get around. ive "accidentally" figured out
TWO different ways of getting by it.

lojack wouldve been the best bet, but even lojack isnt 100% fail-safe. alarm, club, autolock, detachable steering wheel, kill switches, guard dogs...

what it all comes down to is, if someone wants to steal your shit bad enough, theyre going to take it.

I'd bet also that it was stripped and then dumped somewhere. The only luck is trying to find some of these parts for sale! Mine is 97..i had a front end colision, and they said if i wanted it totalled they would give me $8000 plus $1000 for aftermarket parts..
and i could still keep the chassis to do whatever i wanted with it..
your company is robbing the hell outta you you better hget on the phone and start some serious screaming cussing and asking for supervisors. say you will take it to court..do not accept 4500 that is S13 money..

its a 96 with the kouki front...i have full coverage with aaa autoclub but im assuming thats the bluebook value that they are going by. Ya i am definately not settling for that price but at some point i think i will have to take what i can get. They said reciepts and pictures of the car will help, but they dont cover dollar for dollar on parts and they said some parts may be considered necessities...and im hoping they dont consider the jdm aero that cuz that was a considerable chunk of money, not to mention the paint job that definately wont be covered. And my claims rep said that whoever works for the company that told me i could get "market value" based on similarly modified s14's was mistaken and should not have told me that....

My car is 90 240 and its only insured for i think 2k. I paid like 4k for it and have more money into it. so if i ever get in a wreck or it gets stolen, the max i can get is 2k. sucks but its the way life is with older cars like ours.

my buddy's sr s13 vert got stolen, and was missing for weeks/months. finally some cop calls n says "your car is 5 blocks from your house sitting in front of some old lady's house"

it sat there, because noone ever reported it.

Thats normally where they take most of those stolen cars, import scene is bigger than you think down there and the thefts seem to be more rampant in LA and San Diego than anywhere else.
