I was just wondering if anyone has added A/C to their SR, if so where can you get parts for it?

well the lines should be easy to come across. the compressor from the ka fits *I believe*. from there it should be all plug in and bolt up.
please chime in if I'm incorrect about the compressor
and as for finding the parts we do have a search button here on zilvia

Alright thanks for the heads up... do you, or anyone, know if theres any complications with the lines in the s13, i've heard the downpipe can get in the way, i'm not for sure cuz the lines were yanked prior to the swap so i'm not sure if the sr's are different than the ka's

no.
you either have to
A. leave the ac compresser on the sr and splice sr and ka lines
or
B. get the custom bracket thing that someone sells on here, and use the KA compresser.
B is ussually cheaper unless you know someone who does powersteering lines.

then it must be different for s13's and s14's cause I didn't splice or fabricate shit.

There's an OEM bracket that goes from the KA compressor to the SR. Friend's shop in socal has a few of them, I have one on my car :P

I have an s13 blacktop sr with a ka a/c compressor in my s13. Sr20store did the swap. They just used a redtop sr bracket to bolt the ka compressor to the motor. They didn't even have to discharge the a/c lines.

I've had mine for a year.
SR Bracket
KA24DE A/C Compressor and lines
Use the stock A/C wire not the SR one...
The only thing that is kind of tricky is charging the system because the intake hose will be in the way, Just idle the car without it on it should still idle... Any more questions?
s13 sr20 redtop bracket is what you need if you want to use a 91-94 KA24DE pump. two front bolts will line up. blacktop bracket and any other KA24DE besides that year will not work.
You can buy a custom brackets that a seller has on here. That's what i did with my s13 sr20 redtop with 95 KA24DE pump. all bolts line up but the belt is off by 8mm. the bracket corrects this.
or use stock japanese sr20 pump and get lines made.
there's a rumor that a 97-98 KA24de pump bolts up perfectly with a sr20 blacktop bracket.

that's exactly what i did to get my a/c to work too. it's actually pretty easy. the hardest part i guess would be to find a redtop SR A/C bracket. also, you'll have to cut one rib off the belt cause the crank pulley and a/c pulley are offset by one groove. i've been running with this setup for about 3yrs and no problems whatsoever. Good Luck!
