When I was first looking to do my swap I came across them in my research. I was not ready to buy at the time but the dude sounded cool to me. He was very animated and said that he would make sure that I had everything to do my swap and that he would compression test and start the engine to make sure that everything was working. I ended up getting a motor closer to me. I didn't want to have to pay for the shipping. The price of the motor seemed good though. I dunno man. Maybe you guys should make a trip down there and see what the place looks like in person. See what kind of warranty they offer. The guy I bought my motor from said that I had a 30 day warranty for engine start up and parts including internals. I don't know exactly what you're buying either. GL

Hey when i bought my car with the swap already completed it had extremejdm.com stickers on it. The receipt for the swap shows
1903 leafdale Ave
S El Monte, CA 91733
(626) 443-6668

It says it is J&R LPC Corporation for company name. If these are indeed the same company, I love my swap. Had it for 2.5 years already, driven the piss out of it stock, driven the piss out of it at 15 psi on stock t25 for a year, and now at 18 psi on a gt2871r for over 6 months, all stock motor and it pulls like a mother still. total milage is about 35,000 since the swap and the motor has about 43k on it to start with.

They are literally across the street from us (literally, I could walk across the street down the alley)

I have never visited them though

But I know of some customers who have bought from them

I'd use as much cautious and common sense as buying from any other company

Not because of anything I've heard, but I'd so that with any business, regardless of how much good or bad rep they have

J&R carry alot of 240 stuff. They are more into that than anything else. Matter a fact jimmy (owner of jpr) gets his stuff from vinny. He also does installs as well. Price is alright but he knows what hes doing and hes pretty cool too.
