Alright, ive read just about everything there is on these forums and others.
I have a 91 dohc with 112k on it
when the car is at idle, i have a marbly sound near the front of the engine, im assuming this is a timing chain issue. I removed my top chain guide hopin to solve the problem. But it didnt help
U can hear it most clearly at idle, but when u listen to the motor and hit the throttle, u can still here it, just not as easily cause of more noise obviously.
Now, my question is: are my next options where its gonna get pricey, should i purchase one of those timing chain kits off say courtesy nissan and will that solve my problem besides the work involved in doin that, or is there somethng else i can do that will help my problem. Ne advice or knowledge that neone has would be greatly appreciated, im tired of hearin that, makes the motor sound like crap and makes me uneasy.
