Has anyone put together their own stainless steel oil/coolant lines. Do you know what size fittings fit into the turbo and then to the oil block. I want to put my own lines together but I'm not familiar with the fitting specs. Shared experience and part no. are appreciated.

Thanks

I'd like to know this as well, although I think you are better off posting on KA-T because I'm sure it has been covered before over there.

when i did my lines for my ka-t, i had to retro fit an 1/8th" npt to a -6 for the feed line to the turbo. also i used an 1/8th" npt to a t-fitting for the factor oil pressure sending unit. I couldn't get the exact thread pitch for the turbo figured out at the local -an fitting store. its most likely metric. atpturbo.com has fittings for gt series turbos check them out.

also, when putting the fittings on the braided lines, wear gloves they tend to eat away at your skin when messing with them for a few minutes. when you get the desired length, wrap it really really tight with duck tape and cut it with curved cable cutters, then unwrap the tape slowly and put the fitting on. this helps decrease the chances of the steel weave fraying, which equals less pricks =p.

Sorry i couldnt give you thread pitches though =/

Im in the process of putting something together for my KA-T I was gonna make a post but I'll share what I have so far.

OIL FEED LINE FOR KA24DET

Starting at the block where the stock oil pressure sending unit is located and making the way to the turbo:

This goes in place of the oil pressure sending unit into the block. The stock sender fits in the 1/8 BSPTfemale end of this piece (not seen because it is sitting on that end), and there are three 1/8" NPT female ports used to connect your feed line and other items, such as an oil pressure gauge sending unit or oil temp sending unit. $49.00

Oil feed on block(SR) is M12x1.25mm

Coolant on block(SR) M14x1.5mm

Oil on turbo is 7/16" inverted flare

Coolant on turbo is M14x1.5mm

If you don't know what those mean, just buy some premade lines, as you'll probably hurt yourself and build some leaky lines.

No its a little different because these fitting wouldn't be for tapping into the block. That oil feed line setup is for use with the NISSPORT oil adapter. There more than a hand full of way to do this but your SR I assume so just run it like stock but upgrade to SS lines for water and oil, they make them made already for SR's anyhow.

another question. What thickness is advisable to use on the coolants and the oil feed line? I was thinking -6AN on the coolant and -4 on the oil. I saw -4 earlier today and I thought the next step up would be -6. Am I right or is it too big?

-6AN is fine for the coolant lines

-3AN or -4AN is good for the oil lines with a restrictor for either one you choose
