I use a fender roller in fact I rent it out. Look in the classified forum. Eastwood.

My paint currently sucks and my car is a bit ghetto. But it works.

Seeing your car, makes me confident about doing mine using your technique. Gotta do it before paint.

yeah wood is the way to go,
metal just slides, you dont get the grip roll.

i used a aluminum bat.. and a metal steal rod that was like 2 inches diameter..
if you use a wooden bat, i think thats very soft, do it if you dont care about the bat.
Make sure its all good .. one time i was on a date and my rear wheels where rubbing *no she was not a fat chick either!* for some reason i have no idea it started rubbing in the back and all i had was a torque wrench.. girl didnt know how to drive so i had no choice but to park on a hill and have her work teh ebrake while i worked the torque wrench in the fender lol.. lmao

It is indeed.
That is actually my living room carpet from when we lived on base. Since this place is fully carpeted, it became my "parking mat" when I had my oil leak. I no longer leak oil, but the carpet does make it nice to work under the car.

+1 for the baseball bat. I used a wooden bat and a heat gun. Pulled them out just enough and rolled em just enough....but now my poor old baseball bat looks like it's beaten some ass in its time, or maybe it has.. :)
