sr20 engine noise

I have a 97 black top sr. every time at start up, when I give it a small rev I hear this quick rattle noise around the throttle area. after one small rev it goes away. its not a constant noise only when give it gas only at start up.
even when restared after 20-30 mins.

Sounds like the typical bad VVT solenoid...

awsome. thanks :bowrofl: that thing is next to the throttle .... I have been eyeing that thing for weeks. just wasnt sure.. now to find one
