okay so i spun two bearings in my SR last november and im barely getting around to the rebuild, my question is how do i figure out what bearing size and grade i need. My machinist told me that i need to get them 10 under x 1.25, i went to a local shope to get OEM bearings, and the guy was like WTF 10 under...? I dont know what it means either...can anyone help me out...?

Simply have him resurface the crank however is needed than mic the crank journals and their corresponding main/rod bores. Subtract the journal size from the bore size to find the "clearance spec". Than look in the FSM and find the chart for bearing selection. You want to find a bearing that is on the slightly tight side of the spec. The chart will give you a color for the required bearing. Simply order the bearing by color or by number from your friendly neighborhood Nissan dealer. Do this for each bearing. If your crank hadnt required resurfacing than you could have simply taken the numbers off the block and the crank and put them into the chart to find the required bearing size.

This should help you decide what grade to get
