Enjoy!
Ignore the random pics of nothing, and blurriness.. I didn't feel like sifting through everything.

Looks like fun, that porshe looks badass, and I am in love with 350Zs now, ever since one of em came to our chi-town meet. Wasn't a track though <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'> . Love the crooked numers in tape, looks liek someone had a hard time making a 2 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
How was it driving behind the 350Z, assuming that the black fastback is yours, unless there were 2 black fastbacks

wow great pics! You guys got some nice action ones of me and my car. Man that was a blast I can't wait till Summit <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>. Too bad we have to wait till Feb to run VIR again with NASA.
I'll post my pics as soon as I get some sleep. That drive back from Danville was a killer. I just got in at 11:40pm <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> Now I need sleep bad.

The 350z had INSANE power.. he would hit the straights, and disappear, but he actually waived me by once b/c I was a little faster through the corners. (It still had the 30-day tags. I'm sure he was still learning a lot.)

It was a great time. Zilvia did its best to burn it down <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
I'd about bet money that is the most 240s at a track event outside the annual convention. It was awesome having everyone come out and show that 240 is a damb fine car for the track. The fact that most of us will also be at Summit only makes it better!
For those of you in the Mid-Atlantic - or anywhere else - you missed out and are missing out if you don't get out there and drive!
As for my time, I really enjoyed meeting and hanging out with you guys. I remember how much fun it was the first time I went - the first time I rolled an R or a Vette - and I know you guys were there <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> I'll also say that running in intermediate isn't nearly as good for the ego. My passes were weak - one ITR, the MINI S, that Saturn, and a hybrid hatch. I got very good, however, at pointing by the M3's, Camaros, Vettes, WRX's, ITRs, and Moosetangs! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
At any rate, I should get the few pics I have posted up in the next day or so. After getting home last night, I just didn't have the energy.

when and where is that?
I'd love to go.

There's a couple threads about it in the Meets forum...
Summit Point Raceway is in Summit Point, West Virginia (near Charles Town, WV, about 1-1.5 hours from DC or Baltimore). The event is Nov. 2-3. If you want to go, sign up fast, I'm sure it'll close up soon!

I'm not sure if i should go or not though... see details in the meets section if you wanna know why.

Amber here. Great pictures taken!!! Makes me feel so inadequate as a photographer. Glad to hear that everyone had a good time. Sorry we can't make it to Summit. But, I promise you - I will be hell on wheels next year. Thanks for playing a little on 95 coming home, as I was starting to doze off (forehead to steering wheel). Looking forward to seeing you all in the near future.

Those we're some pretty sweet pics, I don't think I've ever seen that many 240's together like that. Where was the race?
I just found out the other day there's an SCCA race up near ft. wayne, IN. I'm most likely going to be there once I get directions. I'll bring my brother along, he can take pictures with his digital cam.

Dem dere is some good lookin pictures! But I've got a feeling you were aiming though the screen and not the lense for a lot of them. Something I realized at other events - use the lense - the screen has a .5 second lag.
Amber - you aren't making it to Summit? That sucks. Bacari's still coming, right?
thelinja - it wasn't really a race - it was a track school. Fairly big difference. ANyway, it was at Virginia INternational Raceway (VIR).

I honestly had a blast at VIR. Although I have to spend about $150 to get her back into shape. It was worth it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> I think everyone should come out at least once to find out that there is more to tunning a car than just horsepower and quarter mile e.t. And my wife is soooo adicted that I have to agree to buy a track car for her. We are going to look a a civic tonight <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> Anyway Next Feb. when NASA fires up again I will be there
Edit: Money is kinda tight right now so Summit is out of the question but upgrading the car isn't <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

I am soooo excited to have a beater of my own. I'd love to get another 240, but we aren't having much luck locating one for what we want to spend on a car.
Mark- We might make to Summit as spectators if mom-in-law decides to move to this area. (She is supposedly coming this weekend.) Money with a little one is always an issue and then there's the whole time thing... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
But, spring will be here soon enough. And then I will be able to join the ranks of the living. Can't wait to see what boost feels like in a car of MY own. How COOOOOOL!

I just automatically assumed (pretty, pretty please) that with our short history of engine swaps, we might as well swap/upgrade mine, too. (Did I say pretty, pretty please?) <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

I think you created a monster Barcari!!
As for the Civic - They're cheap and can even be bought pre-fitted with some go-fast goodies. You can always do a swap later and make them scary fast <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/satisfied.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':satisfied:'>
Too bad you guys won't make Summit, but it is understandable. They don't usually fall back-to-back like this!
BTW: What cost $150? I didn't think you broke anthing that needed fixing? Oh yeah - and FIX THAT RAD HOSE!!
nrcooled
10-16-2002, 03:47 PM
The cost comes from running my street pads on the track so they need to be replaced -$100
and I blew a couple of gaskets -$40
and brake fluid-$30
Actually its more expensive than I thought.....geesh <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

HippoSleek

Yeah - I always tell people to just buy a set of pads and no one ever listens <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/music.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':music:'>
In the future, if you get a good set of track pads for $100 or so, they will last several HPDE weekends. Just do a parking lot or day before pad swap and you're good to go.
Oh yeah - more pics - these are big and gorgeous!
