View Full Version : Narrowband or Wideband output to ECU (2 O2 sensors or 1?)

I have a Power FC and a PLX R500. I don't know if I want to send the narrow band output from the R500 to the Power FC or run a stock narrow band O2 in the stock location and the wide band down stream.

Thoughts?

The output to the ECU should be kept narrow band usually your wide band controller has 2 outputs for this reason, one that can mimik NB and one for WB signal. The wideband should be placed where its recommended, somewhere your wideband documentation should suggest a spot, but rule of thumb is they generally are placed further downstream than that of teh stock o2 NB placement.

And that's why I don't know if I want to run the ouput from the wideband or the stock o2 sensor to the Power FC. I think the stock sensor would be better than emulation.

yeah - although almost all stock o2's give off a 0-1v signal - different values within that scale have varying afr's for different vehicles (if that makes sense) - so it can be different between the stock sensor and the emulated wb sensor so u have to set that up for the output. I did it with my innovate and it acted stupid so i went back tothe normal nb.
