Playstation 3 games??

So my dad just recently bought a PS3 for the blue ray player and since Ill use it too obviously...but I havent really been into videogames for a while...So what games are good on PS3? I have played Call of Duty, assassins creed (both for 360 tho).....Im big into first person shooters...platforms (used to love games like Rayman or super mario) action games like splintercell or metal gear solid, racing games, skating etc...i guess the only thing im not really into is sports games...so what are some good games out there?

SKATE is a must if you like skating blows tony hawk away, nfsps is good too, ummm those are the only 2 i own that i'd recommend

the new metal gear solid is coming out in a few months, so id watch for that. the new need for speed game is fun, Call of Duty 4 is awesome and the new medal of honor as well.

yeah I played burnout on xbox and it was pretty sick...and i think i played skate the other day in a game stop...idk i just picked up the controller and started messin with it...didnt look what it was called but assuming it was skate

Ratchet and Clank is awesome.

Also Rock Band if you can afford it, tons of replay value. It's really all we do anymore.

Burnout is a must as well as someone mentioned earlier.

Devil May Cry comes out on February 5th I think and that's a must buy. The Devil May Cry franchise always delivers.

I have played some PS3 games at my friends.

- Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, which is one of the best games ever. It is a platformer/3rd person shooter game. Plays, and looks like a movie. Amazing game.

that came out for xbox 360 a while ago... but i dont remember what they named it... reminded me of the tokyo extreme racer series

kane and lynch is hardcore... super hard lol... ncaa/madden is always fun

if your into 2 player battle's... def jam icon is the shit(gets old after a while)

dirt is a good 1 player game...


but the best game would have to be rainbow 6 las vegas

Ninja Gaiden is a good game just its pretty hard. I have wangan midnight but it would be a lot better if you play over the internet. Devil May Cry looks pretty awesome which I have on reserve.

Im waiting for the better games to come out such as the new street fighter, tekken 6, resident evil 5, Metal gear solid 4.

Drakes Fortune is supposedly really good, but honestly theres still limited amount of games out there. Heavenly Sword is probably one of the best games PS3 has, only catch is that the story is so short that you can probably finish the game in 4 hrs. But its still a nice Eye-Candy to show off what the PS3 can do. Think of it as God of War with a girl in it and 10x better graphics.

Uncharted is really fun, download the demo and see if you like it.

Ratchet and Clank is another really good one. If you haven't played a lot of ps2 games, and you have a model that is backwards compatible, go get some old ps2 classics also :)

I guess thats the advantage of jumping on the earlier PS3s, I dont have to worry about backwards compatibility. I played God of War 2 on my PS3 when it came out, freaking awesome playing that shiet on a HD TV.

you should give rock band a try ... i've always hated playing instruments but rock band is pretty sweet when you're jamming to your favorite songs.

ok so I bought resistance fall of man and skate, then beat fall of man and traded it in for burnout paradise. Skate is cool but kind of annoying cause you have to flick the joystick to do tricks which is kinda weak after awhile...but over all good game, fall of man was just sick and so addicting...and burnout is nasty although i do wish there were more roadrage events.....probably will be getting another first person shooter soon, maybe Turok cause i used to love those games for N64 or somethin else along those lines

edit: and just noticed this when i was looking through games on IGN...why is it that all the aliens in every game seem to start with a C? Halo- covenant, Orange Box/ Half life 2- combine, resistance fall of man- Chimera...makes me sound like a huge nerd, but i just noticed that
