ive got the buddy club ones on my car now..
S14
and i actually had JIC FLT-A2s before lol
i will say i like the buddy clubs much better..
one of the biggest reasons is the ride. the buddy clubs ride sooooo smooth, i love them..
imo they are pretty cheap w/ the price for what you get.

do you have the racing spec dampers? or the N+ spec dampers? what are they like at full stiff?

i have the racing spec dmapers
at full stiff they are rough riding
ive seen these on a few roadrace cars set at the maximum stiffness and they seem to do really well

Ive ridden in Toby Broadfields S13 with the Racing Specs and they were very nice. Much less bouncy than Stance and my Tein Basics (obviously). He upgraded to Cusco's, but the Buddy Clubs were a very smooth ride and I liked them a lot.

are they inverted fronts? also...are the spindle holes upfront (the part that bolts to the hub thingy where your wheel is ;) heh) oblonged at the top to allow for more camber?
how low is your S14 on em?? how low can u get with em?? (pics would totally help w00t)
sorry for all the questions...but its hard finding ne one who uses their stuff

Unless you have custom valving from JIC, I would sell them or just throw them away. The buddy clubs are pretty good for the money. I test drove a set that was on a s2k

Quality looks to be good, they have HQ in the US (last time I checked) with people there, which is a plus.

yea fronts are inverted
there are front spindle holes
oblonged hole at the top for more camber
they go pretty low, id get pics but my car is getting painted..it should be done in about a week and i can get you some
no worries on the questions...my car is pretty low, but not nearly as low as they can go...
like i said ill get pics up when i get it back

I have a set of older buddy club spec dampers, non adjustable valving. So old there is no adjustable preload for the 11/8 k springs, just ride height...but man they are smooth. They are a bit harsh for a street car but the dampers are great and there is no bounce. Strong and well balanced. Good product.

well...just as an update to this thread...i sold my JICs and bought a set of buddy club racing spec dampers
the buddy clubs are worth the every penny spent on em...they hold just as well as the JICs did thru turns...but ride WAAAAAAAY smoother during normal driving
the ONLY thing i did notice a difference in was i like how well put together my JICs were...now this is NOT me saying buddy clubs dampers are by ANY MEANS cheaply manufactured...quite the opposite...but anyone who has owned JICs will agree that theyre prolly one of the BEST put together coilover setup on the market
id recommend buddy clubs to ANYONE whos looking for a GREAT performing coilover setup...buddy club might make alot of honda stuff...but their S13 coilovers are AWESOME (i cant wait to take them out and beat on em all day at a track event soon...i just took a few runs around the roundabouts here in town at the top of 2nd gear...they held like fukin CHAMPS)

yea my brother was convincing me to buy the buddy club coilovers after he bought some for his rsx i really like the ride on them they are nice and smooth he even got stiffer springs then what they normally come with. but for his car its a pita to adjust ride height. They also got good customer support as well which is a plus.

well ride height adjustment on the s chassis buddy clubs are the same as every other coilover on the market right now...just turn the bottom mount up or down ;)

buddy club offers N+/D1 spec dampers for the S13 as well...but those are more or less the entry level dampers...racing spec dampers are their flagship dampers
you can get custom dampers from them as well...theyre called P-1s...but they start at about 3 grand a set...theyre meant for professional level cars (like JGTC and what not)

yea not rsx's unfortunetly
he probly got the N+
and only the rear coilover is like that the front still spins up/down to lower
the rear you have to completly disasemble to reveal the shock body itself
i like the rsd
had it on my integra
and friend just got a set on his s13
1250 shiped with pillowballs
not bad

Does anyone know anything about the Junior Spec dampers? They're sold in Japan, I wasn't sure if they're the JDM version of the N+ or something. I couldn't find any info on them.

just double checking... sometimes we all have a tendency to say one thing and a few months later do something else

junior spec, i believe, are the same thing as the N+ dampers (i just had a look on the japanese site...the N+ and junior spec are priced right around the same dollar to yen conversion)
