redtop sr
ok so i just put in some cams(bc stage 2), springs and retainers and head gasket and head bolts
and i just recently ordered the 2871 .64, megan manifold, elbow and 550cc injectors, or should i go with 740cc?
am i getting the right parts?
are the 272 cams too much?
this is for a quick responsive street setup which will be running 16lbs
just plan on using an enthalpy tune for now until money gets better
oh and stock bottom end
so let me know if i fucked up in any of my decisions
thanks

will the 272 cams hurt my motor at all?
or just make for a less desireable street car?

setup seems fine, there have been similar setups to yours without problems.
be weary of the megan manifold though it cracks easy.(but some people stand by megan products)
sr bottom ends can handle some good power, I've heard of up to mid 400. good luck
EDIT: in fact, there are so many 2871 setups on this forum a quick search will yield many results

yeah i searched and found stuff, but nothing talking about 272 cams, it was all 264 so i was kind of worried
megan will be fine for me, my exhaust system is held together very well with all hangers attached so less stress is put on the manifold, even thinking about installing a flex pipe
if it does break, aw well $100 aint bad

i put hks 264's in my sr and it is real shakey. you can deff tell that i have cams.
but i did have stock motor mounts that were shot at the time. but my car is not back on the road yet with the new motor mounts.
who cares if its shakey. its only at idle and imo i think its pretty cool. lol:naughtyd:

If i'm not mistaken, for 272's they suggest some mild head work to make sure that the piston to valve clearance is adequate.
