Okay, on my 1993 240sx I just took off the wing that came with. Ever sense I took off the wing when I open the trunk the trunk flys back like super fast, and when I shut it there seems to be quite a significant gap between the trunk and the part of the car it clips on to. I looked at the coaping of the part where the trunk locks into and there is nothing blocking it so I dont know why it wouldnt be shutting properly. Also when I opened the trunk and was looking around last night I got a wiff of mildew so I need to get this solved quick
LMAO, I took my wing off soon after i got my 91, I assume u have a coupe as well. Thats the first thing I noticed is when u open the trunk it flies open really fast, gotta live with it now.
Not sure on that gap thing, cuz it didn't happen to me, but the trunk did start to become hard to shut, took a few good slams, but i just don't shut it with my hand in the middle anymore, more towards the edge.
hth,

dang you guys, I wish you would have asked if anyone wanted to trade...if you didn't want your spoiler...and if you have a red (the darker shade...I think cranberry), I would have traded...I would have even paid shipping...
I'd love to have the OEM spoiler...what are you guys doing with yours?
damnit, I did wanna trade, but noooooo, nobody wanted to back when I asked. My car is red but not that cranberry red....
My spoiler is collecting dust in the garage these days....

obviously I never saw that post
I wonder how much it would cost to get the trunk repainted to match color....50-100 bucks?
don't get me wrong...I do like my non-wing low and sleek look...but I think Nissan did well with their wing, accenting the cars lines very well, and IMHO, it really adds to the nice suttle sporty look, without looking like a sports car wannabe.
