Convert Sohc Tach to Read Dohc Signal

OK well I accidentally found this on NicoClub Fourms, but I think its very useful for anyone doing a SR swap with their 89-90 s13.

The pictures didn't work for me, but I think it would be appreciated if pics are posted by anyone who does this. Thanks

looks very cool, i did something similar using diodes and tapping the signal off the coil.

Pics not work for me either.

But, IMO thats just a waste of time. Its good info and a could be a benifit to some, and a small $$$ saver. But, I live in the middle of nowhere with no 240sx in the junk yars.... I have no problem getting my hands on parts. I would rather spend the $40 for a DOHC gauge cluster and just put that in.

You can just remove the tach from one cluster and put it in the other. Works just fine.

No negative feedback is needed he is cleary posting up a way to make use of your sohc tach period saying that you dont like it and that you would rather do it another way benefits nobody

The link he posted was very informative and useful. me, personally, have been searching for this particular piece of information for the last half hour.

I've got 6 SOHC clusters and 1 CA cluster sitting here that i have NO use for. Now i do
