The dealer would be your best bet here since it's an OE part.

I dunno how realistic it is to get the rebuild kit, or the labor required

You might be better off just buying a new diff

i have a 1.5 way lsd that's about all i know since i bought it from another member a while back.
so i went to that site but what do i need from it? all of the parts im guessing? it's about 100 beans or so i don't see why it's not worth rebuilding..installing it can't be like 600 bucks?

How many miles or track day do you have on that lsd?

Why do you think you need a rebuild?? That lsd shouldn't a rebuild unless you drifted it everyday since you got it.

Have you changed the fluid in it? or when was the last time you changed it?

where can I get the sss or gt pro?

on that nissan performance site, I saw r200 z32 lsd, can I use that, that's a 2way rather than the 240sx 1.5 way.

if its going clack clack clack, then its working =p
If your not confident in it, change the fluid and put an additional bottle of LSD addictive and it will quiet down,

it doens't make any noise, i drifted it once and haven't changed the oil for quite some time....and havne't tested it until recently, trying to do a donut and what not and noticed both wheels were not gripping. hopefully by just changing the oil it will start working again..

change the oil. do not put in synthetic, and do not put in additives in nismo diffs. its possibly fine for tomei/kaaz but not for nismo. it will fuck up a nismo sss.

You just need to change the oil. When you get a real LSD there a bit more maintenances then vlsd and other stock stuff...

don't you need synthetic?? i don't think im going to put any additive but as far as the type of oil i thought you need synthetic gear oil..any one else input on this? what type of oil is acceptable? thanks.

check again if you can tell if its SSS or GT/GT PRO. If its a Nismo SSS synthetic is for it. GT/GT Pro I'm not sure. I had Tomei/Kaaz reversed with Nismo preference. The additive isn't good on Nismo diffs. The nice thing is you have Nismo SSS, you can adjust torque breakaway with a 19mm socket and going thru the passenger-side opening and tightening or loosening the bolt in there.

sorry to bring this thread back up. I'm going to be rebuilding my Nismo Street 2 Way. I'm looking at this MyNismo.com - NISMO R200 LSD Replacement Parts - 240SX (http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3102)

I am confuse to what to get on the friction disc. I notice there are 2 different part numbers. Do I get both or just one set?

38433-N3210 NISSAN 240SX 1989-1998 Friction Disc 1.75mm $17.95
38433-N3211 NISSAN 240SX 1989-1998 Friction Disc 1.85mm $16.95

thanks in advance
