alright folks, i just picked up a PSP for cheap.

any recommendations on games?

i prefer RPGs, FPS, and fighting. oh and SOME racing games.

You really don't need a chip. My little brother updated all his firmware, and now it runs like Windows, or Mac. He just downloads games for free. I'll find out more about it later and let you know.

I second Jeanne D'Arc, its a really good tactics style RPG. Also Crisis Core: FF7 _should_ be coming out in the US soon. It's out in japan already, looks awesome.

This game will keep you busy for ages. They took tactics for PS1, redid the translations and cutscenes. It is one of the best RPGs I have ever played.

Yeah, it's SO much easier to buy a R4DS from some hole in the wall internet store based in China and wait 4 weeks for it to arrive, then buy a separate memory card, hope to jesus that you didn't get ripped off, and then have a hard time finding games.

I bought my flashcart from Canada.
Came in 3 days.
I didn't get ripped off.
I have all the games through the beauty of .Torrents.
Took 24hrs to DL. All 1700 at the time.
I even have a Direct Download site if I just need one or two.

I'm still trying to figure out how DS games are comparable to PSP games? Find me a DS FPS that has online abilities and a reasonably sized community.

mine came in five days, and modchip.ca is a very reliable store. i've ordered several items from them (ps2 discs, xecuter chips, wiikey, and r4ds) without any issue whatsover. but hey, if you want to risk bricking your shit, and don't mind that you're just going to have to keep doing it over and over every time new firmware comes out, knock yourself out (in all honesty that's not really a hassle, but "modding" a ds consists of sticking a cart in the slot). i can see why you're the red square king, have some more.

What's a douche kross? Also, I have been using the same firmware since I got it a few months ago without any issues at all. Try looking at most of the modchip stores that sell it on resellerratings.com. Most have in the 5ish range.

Yeah, I've played this. I had a fairly hard time navigating the menus but my S14 beat some S13.

www.psp-hacks.com then go to their IRC channel. Tell them what you want to do and they'll help you pretty much step by step. Please only use this to run legal homebrew software. :coolugh:

Right now i'm running an m3 simply with r4 updates and have ff12, ff3, advance wars, phantom hourglass and some other games. need a memory expander so i can browse the internetz.
