This is a seriously sick deal.

The Eeepc already goes for 399 itself.

If i had cash, i'd buy it ASAP.

i almost bought one of those yesterday - but the guy gave me a sick deal on a acer aspire with a dual core - 299$ bnib :) plus they gave me a 70$ rebate on a 69.99 printer. free shit is good.

the eeepc are nice tho - the interface for xp needs to be stripped down to install on it, or u hafta stay *nix based. There are a few GUI that u can use. No matter what - chuck the stock shit and get ubuntu or xp

Linux comes stock, but you can easily overwrite it with a barebones version of XP.

IIRC, XPBlack runs well on it.

The stock operating system does kinda suck in my honest opinion. Xandros is too damn simple, and doesn't offer all the cooler shit that comes with Ubuntu. When i get one, i'm running Xubuntu. Same functionality as Ubuntu, minus stupid shit i never use.

PS. You can hack the living crap out of this thing and really make it shine. And you can dualboot if you'd like, running linux and XP.
