So I checked codes in the ECU this past weekend bcuz my car is idling really rough and the check engine light came on. 32 came up, so looks like theres something wrong with the exhaust gas recirculation system.

Any ideas on how to fix this?:sadwavey:

Check the vacuum hoses that are back there. It is VERY common for one of the hoses in particular to go bad. I forget what it goes from/to, if your car was right in front of me I could point to it! It is a 90 degree bend that goes to a metal tube that I believe goes to the EGR, but I have not really looked at one for a while.

I just checked codes again but I think I accidentally erased them yesterday and its showing 55(OK sign) how do I get the codes back to make sure that, thats the thing thats causing my engine to have all these problems??

Drive around for a while, it'll come back if it's still a problem.

Mine was a crack in the 90 degree hose elbow on behind the valve cover

thanks ill do that

also before when I had checked the codes the front 02 sensor came up
can you check this simply by unplugging it while the engine is running??

theres a transducer right next to the egr and it has a hose that is about 2 inch's that goes from the undernieth of the transducer and connects to a metal tube. that tube goes bad.
also a good way to test egr is to turn on the car and stick your finger under the egr then with your other hand rev the motor you should feel the egr move if you dont then you know that it isnt getting vacuum

It goes from the bottom of the transducer, which looks kinda like a mini flying saucer and is located at the back of the intake manifold, to the metal tube that goes to the EGR. It's kinda buried so I don't think pics are possible.
