I'm working on installing a NRG short hub in my S14. I've removed the steering wheel, and here my questions begin. First, is the SRS unit supposed to be removed also before the hub goes on? I don't see how it could fit with the SRS unit on, but without it on, the short hub doesn't sit up against anything. It just bottoms on the steering column splines. This doesn't seem correct if I'm going to torque down the nut to hold the hub on.

Secondly, the blue turn signal cancel ring has three plastic studs that align with three pockets on the short hub. The patterns look very close to the same, but when I slide the hub on the column, they do not completely line up. The patterns are not the same, and the blue ring will not fit into the hub. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

If need be, I can post pictures, but anyone who has installed an NRG short hub should know what I'm describing.

Thanks.

No one know what I'm talking about? I guess I'll get some pictures tonight for you.

the short hub is meant for s13s. I can be modified for s14s but nothing on the air bag/srs light. If you want to loop the system, get the works bell splash hub for s14 which comes with the airbag/srs bypass. Works great with any of the quick release systems out there and best of all you do not need to modify or fiddle with anything to get it to work.

Thanks for the replies. I won't need to worry about the srs light, but after all the research I had done before buying my NRG hub, I hadn't seen anything about dremmeling out the hub to fit the turn signal cancel ring. I guess I've got some work to do.
