to the people who done this swap,
ok heres the deal. i can get a vq35de for dirt cheap. all its missing is the oil pan and intake plenum. besides the transmission, driveshaft and custom fabbing the motor mounts, what else do i need? or if some one can point me in the direction where thers a complete write up on doing this swap. because i've seen it done. but i just can't find a more in depth write up on it. your help will be greatly appreciated....... thanks

We did the swap in the September cover of Superstreet there is nothing that we can not answer about that swap. also the car may be for sale soon make some offers trades will be concidered.

That VQswap.com "kit" looks like ass. After fabbing some decent motor mounts, shifter housing, and getting a driveshaft, the BIG project is wiring (if you're trying to keep the stock ECU). Here's a very good thread from NICO about the wiring dilemma:

Which brake setup is that, is there more info on that car? It's an actual willwood setup or arizona z's willwood setup or your own willwood custom setup

The initial basic kit ain't cutting it for $1,200. Shouldn't the "basic" kit include, you know the "basic" stuff you'll need to get the swap going? If I bought that kit i'll need WAY more to get the swap done. I couldn't even crank it if I wanted. With the basic kit it's just too much for so little.

Wait the kit DOESN'T come with motor mounts? Sheesh....
I guess it could be called the adapter kit.....

Wow, I didn't realize that kit didn't come with motor mounts and I've been watching it for a while now.

I believe you run the stock 350Z engine mounts...

its just a wilwood kit from wilwood..
