What is this bracket for? T25

i believe part of the heat shield bolts up to that, your choice, i took mine off when i had a t25, makes it easier to take in and out but it will obviously not keep the heat in as well

The Turbine heat shield bolts to it. If you don't have the shield you can remove it as it makes it easier to attach the oil lines.

Like said above, the heat shield won't clear the steering column. There's no reason to keep that bracket unless you can fabricate your own heat shield.
