i've searched on the forum and found nothing. my question is, how do you take off the second piece of the driveshaft (where it hooks up to the flange) off a j30?? there is no room at all to fit a 14mm wrench on the opposite side to prevent the nut from spinning. the reason i'm asking because i dont wan't to end up buying that driveshaft at the junkyard which i'm not going to end up using. thank you.

you turn the nut, and the bolt is held by a flatspot on the shaft side.

Take a pry-bar or BIG screwdriver and stick it between the u-joints so that you can keep the shaft from turning and loosen the bolts on the backside of the diff flange, they are locked in on the driveshaft side.

they are nuts that you are loosening, and the bolt is held securely.

Exactly. Same as every other Nissan product.
