New stuff and happening to the car my father has coined as the "dent-mobile"

1) Cleaned Throttle Body and Put in new 02 sensor. The idle now went from a fluxuating 600-800 to a solid 900rpms. Too High?

2) Engine now runs strong when cold and warmed up in the beginning. Once i've been driving around for about 15-20 minutes, my exhaust changes sounds and i start getting really crappy accelleration.

I found a hole in my Gasket connecting the ehaust piping to the cataylitic converter. Would that cause the power loss once it got warmed up?

3) My car now doesn't shake when warming up, so i can run the heater in the morning without feeling massage like. But once she hits below 1K rpms, it starts shaking... im thinking the motor mount(s) have gone bad. Maybe thats causing the loss of power, but im not sure.

Please please please post up any ideas, theories or comments. I'm getting a paycheck for 250 bucks tomorrow, so i'll have cash to blow to fix whatever you guys might think needs fixed. Or if you can help me out cheaply, i'll go get that short shifter i've been wanting for a while

Thanks in Advance

a hole in the exhaust can cause some power lose, also did you check your ecu for anycodes and i think the shaking could be something bad.I am sorry for a late reply but this is all I can offer.

I'd check out the ignition system...

how many miles, and what's the honest condition of the engine?

With all the SR swaps going on lately, a fresher engine really isn't that unrealistic. Just something to keep in mind before you start thowing money at the thing.

You may try resetting your ecu, checking your plugs, wires. Could be poor compression, or maybe just a bad engine mount or loose wire somewhere.

As for your idle, 900 is a bit high. There is an adjustment screw you can play around with on the throttle cable. Spec is somewhere closer to 750.

Ignore that. Steve is misinforming you. Adjust idle by adjusting the screw on the Idle Air Control Valve. I'm not sure where it is on the KA24DE...so ask someone about that.

the Idle Air Control Valve is under the intake manifold on the left side of the motor near the back (facing motor from front) Kind of hard to describe because it is sort of hidden. You can tell what part it is by following this tube back:

As for your other problems, check your plugs, and make sure they are not fouled out, and look ok. you might also check the o-rings on the injectors, and make sure they are still in good shape. I hear about those causing weird idle problems all the time. Just remember there are 3 things to make an engine run.. if your loosing power it has to be one of them. Fuel, AIR, or Spark.

The engine is in OK at best.... i mean, i've only had the engire for 2500 miles and it didn't look too great. i found out that both gaskets are broken, and i have 2 holes in mah pipes (woot!. The vibrations have subsided after a few bottles of fuel injector cleaner, but once i get into high RPM's (e.g. 5K-6K range), it runs good, but as soon as i shift to the next gear, the engine turns shitty and goes "put put put put put put put" out of the exhaust. Then it starts to vibrate. after about 5-10 minutes of regular running after the high RPMs, i feel a kick from the back of the car and the engine no vibrate anymore. .... I dunno, my car is moody...
