What do they look like? Are they the 4-lug to 5-lug conversion bolt pattern kits?

OEM is best.

As if "ebay" is a brand... Are you talking about Ichiba products, used OEM stuff or something else that is being sold on ebay??

I would go with oem ones and just by some studs. on the other hand ichiba makes some hubs and i do belive you can request some longer studs at additional cost, if i correct. But dont quote me on that.

Not really the case, some say that the bearings go bad.
But its all hearsay, I dont know first hand.

I bought front S5 5 lug hubs off of ebay for my S13. Worked fine, haven't had a problem, since I installed them. The only thing was 1 of the studs on 1 of the hubs had no thread on it. Thought that was pretty weird, but I just went down to parts store and bought another stud.

Claims to be using OEM bearings. I might look into these a little more, they might not be bad idea. Is anyone on here running with these that can chime in and add there $0.02?

With something like HUBS I'd probably stick with OEM. It would be a really bad situation if one of those failed.

Definitely interesting if they are about the same quality as OEM.

they mean OEM SPEC bearings, not oem as in the ones you'd usually get in the oem assemblies.

i'm sure they'll work. u just dont know how long the bearings will last thats all. you take your chances.

I think I would also be worried about the studs. Assuming this is typical eBay China stuff, the hardware is usually pretty weak. Swapping those out for real OEM or good aftermarket studs would probably be a wise move.

most of the hub conversion kits or spacers on ebay are reviewed to be poor quality, some beg to differ, but by far youre best bet is oem. Spend the extra money and do it right the first time. Or purchase them from a legit company. Its youre car though do what you will.. Icaperformance.com sells great quality hub conversions, you should look into it.

ebay, ichiba, peak performance (street version), are ALL shit! I had such a bad experience with them ( especially the peak performance ones ). The first set I ordered from Peak had 3 studs completely striped at the knurl, so I sent them back. The second set had lots of runout, so when I drove with them on the car, the rotors would push the pistons into the calipers (Z32), so I would have to pump the brakes every time I needed to stop, so I sent them back. The third set was the same shit, just a little less runout. After months of headache ( and fucked up new brembo slotted rotors ), they gave me a full refund. Then I ordered Ichiba, and they looked identical to the peak ones, so I didn't even install them and ended up selling them.
Buy the ATTAIN conversion hubs. You get what you pay for. I've had a set on order from FRSPORT for over 2 months now. Or just swap to S14 hubs and spindles.

if youre on a budget and want quality..
hit up your local junkyard and find some used S14 front spindles.
inspect before you take it off.

<$100, done.
no need to worry about fucked up hubs from ebay.

i had those S13 5 lug hubs from one of the ebay stores. the cheap ass one.

they made funky ass noises, didnt really bug me.

but then i just manned up and bought S14 OEM stuff, LCA, spindle, etc.

the sound just went away.

OEM is best.

s14 front hubs are direct right?

which hub for the rear is a direct bolt on?
z32 n/a hubs?

would the s14 5 lug rotors fit perfectly with the s13 stock calipers?

you need the s14 spindle and you need to install the s14 ball joint in your LCA to put the s14 front on a S13. Yes the S14 5 lug rotors will fit stock brake calipers.

For anyone else who does not want to deal with this the best conversion hub out there right now that is readily available is the Circuit Sport.

but with ichiba or circuit sport front spindle you dont have to change anything right?
