Do a search or go back 1 or 2 pages. This chat section just had like 3 or 4 threads on exhausts.

Can't go wrong with these...
Apexi N1 and N1 Duels
Greddy DD
HKS Hyper
HKS Super Dragger
5Zigen fireball (I think its the fireball)
The apexi and greddy both are pretty loud, but nice and deep.
The HKS hyper and 5zigen are pretty quiet. The 5zigen will give the best results in the way of hp and torque gains from what I've heard.
The super dragger is what I have...quiet for the most part, but real deep and smooth.
You can't go wrong with any of these exhausts imho. Just make sure to get 2.5 inch piping (60mm to 65mm usually). Unless you have turbo, don't go three inch as you will lose mid end torque and hp. There are other exhausts, but these are my favorites and the best imho for the 240.
id go with greddy if youre running n/a.. and blitz nur spec for turbo..

1. Apexi GT Spec (if going turbo)
2. N1 single
3. N1 dual
JDM exhaust like JIC, HKS titanium, buddy club etc are real good also, but pricey.
Greddy exhaust have softer tones and are quiter, but sound 'tinny' imo....

I am getting my Apexi N1 Duals this month. and from what I have heard and seen... it is one of the best out there. for one reason Apexi only makes them for Rx7, S13 and S14 only... (I think). So they know what they are doing!

usually.....
apexi N1 = Performance minded
apexi Dual N1 = Style minded
both are good exhaust, but through the times we've found most of the people looking for 'performance' or 'race', go with the single, and the show minded usually get duals....
not that either is necessarily better or worse than the other.

Ya, I'm still in a rut from the last thread about this.
Apexi Duals or the Trust DD. Anyways those two are on my list if you still wanted to know. I will probably end up getting the Duals because it looks better IMO on my S14 rather than the DD's. Nitekids...... am wrong or right? hahha

Am i the only one on this board who thinks that the n1 dual is fuckin ugly on our cars?
Honestly though. Those ugly and shiney 5" canisters that make a 2" gap between the 2 tips.... it looks like 2 n1s taped together... The 3.5" tips i can live with, but single 3.5" would be so much better.
Now the dd on the other hand looks better (thanks to lack of ugly canisters and since the tips are closer to each other), but still dual 4" tips?!?! You got dual 2.5" piping running to dual 4" tips??? cmon. Can someone say ricey??
The v8 guys don't make their tips bigger then their piping. Why can't we be more like em??

- who believes that no single exhaust tip should be bigger than 3.5" and no dual exhaust tip should be over 3"
P.S. I know i'm gonna get flamed, but i just had to express what i feel on this, after all these people expressed how they love n1 dual (in the last 3-4 threads) while i consider it really ugly. I hope someone will agree with me
edit: oh and i have nothing against the sound or performance gains of those exhausts. I do believe they are nicely made. I just feel they got no place on our car

Yes, is there such a thing as a 2.5" exhaust with a 2.5" tip? Or better yet, something that has two tips coming out of a single muffler. Something that looks *gasp* LIKE STOCK!!
So, aside from the HKS sport, any ideas?

thanks guys, i'm leaning toward the Apexi N1 single in the 80mm pipe... but, what do you guys think of the idea of just an open exhaust? i'm going to be running an sr20det, i could just do a side exit behind the driverside tire!!! i live in Louisiana so no one cares about emissions i know it'd be noisy, but it is a racecar (not a ricecar) . ideas?

Now, unfortunately no. Unless you turn to magnaflow steel mufflers. But those things don't look very nice on our cars. But this is what i found after 4 months of surfing the net for the mufffler that i like:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot....7164318 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1867164318)
It got 2.4" inside wall diameter and the very outside tip diameter is 3". 2.5" inlet. The quolity is bad, but i'm pretty sure that the exhaust with this muffler is way more silent than any performance exhausts. AND IT DOESN"T LOOK LIKE A FART PIPE. I got one lieing in my basement. It looks exactly like stock exhausts with teh SE tips.

I have a Kakimoto (not Akimoto... ugh) Hyper2000 FULLMEGA N1+ Single exhaust. Its Japanese (duh), has 80mm piping, madrel bends, and is full stainless steel. Quality wise, it is probably one of the nicest that I have ever seen, the only one that I've seen that is comparable is the Blitz NUR Spec-R. The sound is very (VERY) loud, but also very deep, so it doesnt sound like a cracked-out weed-eater. I love the way it looks/sounds and I wouldnt trade it for anything else

I don't have turbo (yet!?) so i am still thinking to keep my stock muffler...but since look is somehow important to me, i would like something that looks moderate and humble but at the same time can at least gives a sharp look, i don't know what kind of muffler is that....coz i can't find one..(maybe N1 dual, but don't wanna sound like rice on daily drive) ..so i installed electrical exhaust controller, opens up straight pipe when i wanna race. Don't know if you guys think 5zigen fireball is a good choice? appearance-wise??

juss do a copy of the Tanabe..piping is straight and hangs low..id get that car cant go wrong wtih straight piping even tho i hear it sounds shitty. fine by me
i dont like the N1 either, or the Duals..only exhaust i would get is the Bliz Nur Spec, but its for turbo

I persronally myself dont like the duals its too common amongst the 240sx owners. I dont think it looks ugly IMO jus different. Someone said Greddy/TRUST is louder than apex'i but its the other way around GReddy is low smooth deep and apex'i is loud raspy deep, big difference in sound. Also i love JIC Bullet Ti505 exhaust looks very sweet. So that is what imma go wid . So there is my opinions
