It only does it when you change gears? I'm guessing a your tranny mount is done and the transmission is moving around...

check your brake booster and master cylinder, it may have overheated

yeah i does it when im going about 25-35mph then stops after i pick up speed then happens when i slow down to a complete stop. and the tranny mount is only a year old can it go bad that quick?

why would that cause the car to shake the way it does?

Rotors, diff mount, carrier bearing.

What do u mean when u are "about to shift"? can u'r car read u'r mind?
Jack up your car and try to move any part with your hand, if you can that part is the problem. What kind of work have u done recently to the car ?

Rotors, diff mount, carrier bearing.
The issue would be the rotors if the shaking came when he pressed the brake pedal to the floor.
Differential mounts would not cause what he is describing. The carrier bearing seems where the balance issue is at.
Check the bolts that keep the carrier bearing collar in place. Tighten them down if they are loose.

Have you dropped your drive shaft lately? My car had some shaking around the same speed because I didn't set the drive shaft with the mating marks on the diff. Sounds like a problem from rotational mass. Where do you feel the shake? In the shifter?

well i just changed the brakes to z32 calipers and rotors so it shouldnt be them. brake pedal doesnt shake when pressed but the entire front end shakes.

yeah i had a shop put on a vlsd about 6 or 7 monts ago. but this started about a month or 2 ago. the shifter does shake but i feel it mostly in the front.

I'm gonna throw this out there because it hasn't been mentioned, but have you replaced your tension rods or bushings, this would explain the breaking shake if so. The other shaking, check all associated mounts and drive shaft bolts for proper torque specs.

yeah i checked my tension rods and there good. But i was able to get my car on a lift today and the problem is the rack & pinion bushings are tore up!!! thats whats making the wheels and car shake.

hrm....im having a similar problem, just started today.
car shakes and vibrates pretty bad while im just cruising. it will shake badly if im going slow then change gears.
i changed to Q45 brakes recently, checked all that stuff, nothing wrong.
changed tension rods, those are all good.
Rack & pinion is good.
wheels are on tight.
i changed to megan motor and tranny mounts when i did the engine swap about a month ago. possible that the tranny mount bolts came loose....
going to check that right now.
hope you find your problem!

get energy suspension polyurethane steering rack bushings, don't replace with the OE bushings.

yeah planning on doing that. i was going to do it but the shop next door was closed so i have to wait till monday. Going to replace those and replace any hose leaking so this wont happen again.
