I had an S14 SR20DET installed in my 90 coupe but the motor idles really high. when i first start the car, it idles fine, but once it warms up, the idle soars up to around 2500-3000RPM. what can i do about this? It gets really annoying really fast. Do you think I just need a tune-up? and if so, what should i change? HELP!!!

YAY ANOTHER S14 SR.......check the tension on your throttle cable...i had that problem in the begging.....also check the cam lobe on the throttle body that the coolant lines going through it.......and finally check your idle air control sensor.....

check the idle dial on the ecu maybe its set too high, or maybe the physical idle on the thorottle body is set too high

thanks for the tips guys, I'm gonna look at all of that stuff, and i was also suggested to clean out the throttle body with some carb cleaner. My friend was suggesting that maybe there was a carbon build-up as the throttle sticks when in idle, yet it seems to run at lower idle when cold? I dunno, but thanks for the suggestions, I'm gonna check them out ASAP.
