What's funny is that people living in places like that generally lead much happier lives than us because their life is so much simpler, they don't have to deal with all the pressures and expectations of modern society.

Many people living the hunter-gatherer life style spend a much smaller part of their day getting what they need giving them more time to have fun and develop relationships.

I am definitely going to see this.

This is true. Go to Jamaica once and you'll see that first hand. These people live in conditions American's couldn't even imagine and they are HAPPY! They lead more simple lives.

I will definitely check this movie out.

That is definitely an amazing journey for those men to take. Being able to cope in our stressful society is probably a lot less stressful than having to worry about genocide, starvation, and disease. But adapting to a society that you know nothing of would be very difficult.

This movie will be a wake up call to many ignorant people.

That's not necessarily true. I'm a Linguistics major, and with the whole "learning different languages" deal comes the "learning about different cultures."

There are only a handful of hunting/gathering groups left in the world, and from my research they actually spend most of their day in activities promoting survival for the community (had to do two long case studies about the !Kung in Southern Africa, supposedly the last hunter-gathering peoples left unphased by "Global Westernization," not to mention having grown up in Alaska and being forced to learn about native Alaskans). The only reason they're "happier" is because they have to get along in order to survive. Community is more essential to survival than own self-preservation.

it definitely was for me!!!! as for adapting, when they were moved into their apartments in New York, they were given an alarm clock (among other things)and told it would be the most important thing in their new life, because everything in america revolves around time.
