well i have a blown sr and i was thinkin about gettin the ka24de so i could atleast drive the car while i fix the sr, my question is, is it possible to swap out the engines.

example: i drive around with the ka during the week.... and theres going to be a meet lets say.... on saturday and i wanna put the sr back on.

guess confusing i know.... im bad at explaining things but i hope you get what im trying to say.

Well if you feel like doing a complete near stock to near stock swap for every meet then go ahead.

It is completely doable, but not practical.

two 240's. buy a nice daily, and don't do anything to it (seriously, even wheels...) like an s14 or something, and have a "track / fun / i wanna do something stupid car" with an SR in it.

thats actually not a bad idea.... but one 240 is enough for me atleas for now....if i were to do the swap thing...im looking on getting the complete swap: engine,ecu,tranny, wiring harness, and the motor mounts...correct?

A friend of mine has the swap process down to about 45 minutes. Its not practical, but possible nonetheless.

thats the ticket. besides the trouble of dealing with dismounting, disconnecting the tranny, dinging your engine bay blah blah blah. a DE swap engine n tranny and basics is going to ring up around 400-800 depending on the condition. so having one more shell isnt really going to hurt you. plus, cops hopefully wont pull you over to spot check your engine unless you give them a blaring reason to. like speed. or fart can. :-/
