HELP!! problem with sr revving to 3K

I'm having a problem with my redtop that when it starts it'll idles rough. Then after i tap the gas it revs up to 3K and then the accelerator doesn't work after that. I have no idea where to start so any help would be appreciated.

Check your maf, if it doesn't rev past 3k, I'd put money on something being wrong with the maf

I agree. my maf sensor came disconnected and i couldn't rev above 3k and had no power below that.

will it cause the car to rev up my itself and and stay 3k. It will not decel or accel.

check your throttle position sensor and your throttle calble, maybe they're stuck in the open position, just a thought

sounds like u have some harness work to look over ;)

i'd also do the wiggle test.
