well im trying to figure out whats needed, wiring wise. Its for my project car just so i can get it running and sell it. Its a 1989 with a blown headgasket. I sold all of the 5spd stuff and am getting all the engine and automatic stuff(engine, trans, ecu, harness,DS,radiator) I've been searching but its mostly all for auto to 5spd swap. If anyone has done this or know whats involved could chime in it would help me alot. Thanks.

Much, much more involved. You will need the entire underhood harness with both fuseboxes as well as the full chassis harness, ECU harness, and lower harness.
Or you can strip and pull all the needed wiring from said harnesses and build your own, but that's a lot of splicing and wiring. The auto wiring runs from the ATC (above the ECU) out the passenger side fenderwell to the main underhood fusebox and to the transmission, but it also runs across the core support and back in the other side to the pedals, cluster, and shifter.

It would probably be in your best intrests time and $$$ wise to buy all the 5-speed parts back.
If you truely want to make it auto start swapping and buying parts. There is alot to it.
other options:
buy a wrecked car and swap everything over.
SR clip and do a SR swap and see if you can make some profit.
Sell it as a shell/part the whole car out.

hey thanks for the input. I was looking at some of the diagrams and it was looking like a pretty wiring intensive swap. Maybe i'll see what i can get for the shell.

Im pretty sure im gonna be able to swap full engine harness and chassis harness's now. Talked to the guy and he said i can have his. So if i have all the sensors and wiring should pretty much be a strait forward swap right?
thanks for the help
