Alright,
I've posted a few times before that my car has been having some problem with it not revving past a certain RPM. We've checked for boost leaks, fuel pump, and MAF. When the MAF is disconnected, the car idles normal, but when hooked back on, the car starts acting up. My bro-in-law unwrapped the harness to see what was up. I beleive the MAF has 3 wires (two under the silver wrapping) and one stand alone wire (black with gray stripe). Well, the stand alone wire is hooked to an extension wire, but we tried tracing it back to see where the other piece of the wire was (the one that was originallay attached to the pig tail but then cut to be able to extend it) and couldn't find it. The thing is, every time we would put the wires together, the car acted up, so we suspect there's something fishy there. I also wanted to know if your car stays on when the sensor plug, that is located right above the TPS, is unpluged. My TPS has three wires and one of them doesn't get any current, so I was wondering if any of you know what type of readings one should be getting from the TPS's 3 wires.
This is kind of confusing, without pictures, I know, but if you picture what I'm saying post your results please. This car is going on a year and half and I still haven't been able to drive it more than 5 miles.
If further information is required for you to help out, let me know. I'll try to take pics tonight and post them. Thanks!
