I really liked it as well. My wife even liked it, and I thought for sure she was going to think it was dumb.

It seems like it has a pretty good budget, so it doesn't look as "made for TV" as I was thinking it would.

I can see it getting repetitive, but the fact that Sarah and John traveled to the future, I think they are really tying to mix things up.

I can't wait to watch the second half tonight and American Gladiators.

No, I can actually quantify why it's bad.

Like for example..

being able to electrically overload a Terminator with residential electrical wiring.

The pilot is set in 1999 and "Sarah Connor" claims that 2 years ago they blew up the Cyberdyne Building. Which means according her, T2 was set in 1997.

But in T2 the Terminator tells John that 35 years from now he reprograms him and sends him back to protect him when he was a kid. 2029 - 35 = 1994.

Then there difference in attitude with John Connor. In the SCC, he EMO and cries to his mom about running which is in steep contrast to John Connor the juvenile delinquent that spent his entire childhood in training by his hardcore powerdyke-like mother and has extensive knowledge of firearms operation and had trouble adapting to suburban life in a fosterhome because of "riding around in helicopters.. learning to blowing shit up"

I can go on an on about the absurdity of the entire idea.

My impression was that the series doesnt start in 99. If i remember correctly she says " 2 years ago" before the 1999 Subtitle.

There's been all kinds of tie-ins to the first two movies that really bring everything together. Sometimes, those do seem a little forced and the acting isn't as good as the movie's, but over-all I really am diggin this show.

I took it as this:
In the first episode her mission was to get close to John so she went into "act like a human mode." Once that was accomplished, she didn't need to act like a human to be close to him so she switched it off. Terminators don't understand a need to act human all the time so she never turned it back on.

In the season2, she went back into act like a human mode while trying to stop John from destorying her so she could kill him. But then when she got switched back on and turned off her "terminator John Connor" mission, she had no reason to act like a human so she went back to acting like a robot.

This also makes me wonder something kinda weird.

If Cromartie hadn't attacked John Connor so soon, would Cameron kept acting like a human? Build a relationship with John and all that so she could stay close without scaring him and his mother off? That's fuckin weird.

the t1/t2 future must have passed since the original date for skynets nuke attack was in '97 or '98, and the show takes place current to 2007-2008.

plus, sarah connor dies leading a convoy in late 2020's or early 2030s. no mention of cancer in original treatment for t2. (it's all in the t2 novelization). it was something they made up for t3 to explain linda hamilton's absence imo.

so really its an alternate timeline from both t1/t2 and t3. no idea on the new trilogy. it's getting confusing.

Back then we obviously didn't have the hype train that is the internet. I remember seeing it for the first time in the previews of the 89 Batman on VHS. If you remember, movies used to take like a year to come to VHS back then. And they were expensive. I remember Batman being like $30 when it came out.

I admit it was alot of drama. But that helped alot connecting the show to the movies in terms of storyline.

the futuristic gun one of the resistance members was holding is the same gun used by skinless 101's seen in the opening battle of t2.

the pistol and outfit used by the terminator during the episode was basically a throwback to arnold's look in the first half of T1.

October 10, 2008 - It's a somewhat scary time for those of us who are fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The cool and clever FOX series has been pulling in pretty poor ratings this season, considerably down from Season 1. This has led to a lot of speculation about the show and whether it will continue or not.

Season 2 only had a 13 episode order initially and whether or not it gets the "back nine" order to complete a full 22 episode season has yet to be determined. There has been some doom and gloom of late, with some reports noting that no additional scripts have been ordered past episode 13, even as production gets closer to completing those episodes – a bad sign, since networks typically want to get the jump on producing any more episodes by at least having scripts prepared.

We implore FOX to continue with Terminator, lest Sarah Connor get all Sarah Connor on them
However, there is now reason to at least feel at least a bit more optimistic – The official Sarah Connor blog at fox.com (written by people working on the series) notes that FOX has gone ahead and asked for scripts to be written for episodes 14 and 15 for Season 2. This should at least quiet reports that say the show is absolutely done.

On the other hand, this doesn't mean everything is fine and dandy now – scripts could still be ordered without the episodes being produced. It says on the blog, "the fate of the show past production on episode thirteen is still unclear," but goes on to add, "We are hard at work writing those episodes and await news of a potential pickup for the full 'back nine' (additional episodes to complete the season) in the near future. We're crossing our fingers (and dotting our i's) that we'll have more good news to share with you soon…"

in scc sarah and john get jumped to the future (2007). so they are different storylines.

I think he was referring to the fact that the judgement day from T2 never happened. It was supposed to be August 29, 1997, but from what we see in T3, it happened sometime in 2004. Thus changing the events that Kyle reese told Sarah about.

What I thought was going in the Finale when John jumped to the future is that he jumped to a future before his father went back in time to save Sarah in the T1. What do you guys think of that possibility?

The finale was so good too. I wonder when they check ratings if they only go by people who watched it on tv... I watched it on hulu each week because of the terrible time slot fox gave it.

Yeah we always dvr'd it and watched it on Monday. Really does suck.

The producer of the sow said they won't let the public know where they were going with the story either. They want the fans to use their imagination and come up with their own scenarios. :-/

You should finish off season 2, I thought it was starting to get slow, then it picked way at the end.

So at the end of the second season when john sees cameron, the dog doesn't bark... so shes human in that timeline? I didn't notice that at all the first time I watched the episode... crazy.

No... that probably wasn't Cameron. It was the girl Cameron was programmed to imitate in order to infiltrate the resistance.

Don't you remember when Cam was malfunctioning and kept having flashbacks of her being interrogated by a Terminator? Well, in reality SHE was the Terminator interrogating the girl she was gonna replace...

i thought the season was ok. i kinda got bored with it(as with all things) after a while. and i really never could make up my mind if the robot terminator chick was hot. she is attractive yet there is something about that face that screams.......ODD!
