alright so i just got my stance GR+ Pro coilovers installed yesterday. today we had to disconnect the bottom mount on the rears to do some height adjustment and when we were pushing the passenger side off of the bottom bolt/mount thing the bushing from the coilover stayed on the mount. we slid it off and pressed it back into the coilover and its pretty sturdy in there now,but i need to know if this is normal. will i have any problems with it? do i need to contact stance? any help would be appreciated.

i have the GR+pros and have not had that problem, nor have i heard anyone else having that problem.



id say its fine. But if ur upset just call them and see what they say.

bump for more input.

so far they have been driving fine as far as i know. i need to preload the front springs a lil more cuz i'm getting some popping sounds once in a while when i turn the wheel. i'm gonna pull off my back wheels too and see if the coilovers are moving around on the bushings or not. if their still in place i'm not gonna worry about it.

As long as the bushing wasn't cut/crushed/mutilated, you're fine.

*ahem* I mean, sell that shit... I have some Tanabe's for you =P

haha, if someone offered to buy them right now i would totally go for it.

the only thing i'm worried about is that the bushing is quite a bit longer than the width of the bottom mount, so when it is bolted up the coilover could slide back and forth on the bushing, i would assume thats a bad thing. i guess i'll take a look next time i have a chance to take my wheels off and see if they are moving around or not..

That bushing SHOULD be pressed in. There is no way that it should just fall out like that no matter how stuck the sleeve is on the shock mount. Call stance, if they don't warranty it then put a couple of tack welds around the outer sleeve of the bushing to hold it in.

ya and im sure you do know but put the longer side of the bushing towards the wheel :)

Thats scary. Definitely either call stance or reinstall the coilover with a large washer under the nut to ensure that the coilover can't slip off the bushing.

lol you mean the large washer thats already there?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most coilovers after 2 years will completely smash out that bushing. Most people don't even realize it, those who do never do anything about it.
