does the fact that it has big piping 80 or 90 mm i think to 60mm x2 hurt performance on a n/t because jspec says it is for turbo only...but will it still give the same power gains that the n1 duals will??or any 60 or 60 mm exhaust?
thats all
thanks

Dang stil bil, you still havent decided yet. I though you already ordered the Duals. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
Well I think you meant to say n/a right??? If you planning to stay n/a for awhile get the duals. I probably will get the duals even though i plan gonig turbo.

Well, the piping is large for an NA car, but I think the bigger reason they recomend it for turbo cars is the noise. Without a turbo in the exhaust stream, the only thing to quiet it down is the single resonator. The tips are literally straight pipes, no sound dampening.
If you like the look of dual pipes, the N1 dual is probably the better bet as it is already loud (I can't imagine how much louder the DD must be). For NA performance the fireball seems to be the winner (what I have, though from a looks perspective, I prefer the N1 dual a lot better).
I'd love a DD as well, but it's on hold till my car grows a snail.

the DD piping is HUGE! 3 inches? i wouldnt be surprised if it was more. all the way from the cat converter to the tips. HUGE. i'd say 3.25 inches..loud too! VERY LOUD.
but looks fantastic. mm mm mm. damn fine!
power gains? not bad. my friend with a DD, air intake (cone only) and s-afc layed down 138? i think..145 torque i think too... i forget. not bad though, i expected him to be less then that. anyways, wonderflu exhaust. very beautiful peice of work

look, buy the DD, if you decide you don't like it tell me, i'll ship you my dual with all connectors and gaskets, and you send me the DD, and i'll suck it up if it is too loud
ok?
just lemme know
(i personally like the look of the DD better <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> )

Hate to add flame to the fire there but Greddy DD is the way to go. I had the 5z Fireball Na version on my car and then got the DD from Grant. I could fell the highend power with the 5z and it doesn't feel that much diffrent from the DD but then again what can i butt dyno tell me. The thing looks fuckin fantastic and i get complimented about it all the time for the look and the sound of it. It even makes a nice burbling noise when you turn off the car. Let me tell you though the thing is loud. But after a day or so it seems to quiet down but really more like you just get used to it. But I would recomend the DD.
One of those is going on my future Top Secret Project Strawbery face RPS13. Oh wait you guys didn't hear that! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

dude its a matter of preference, DD is badass, tips are like a muscle car but sticks out like a sore thumb, so u better have some aesthetics to match it, DD is about as close to straight pipe as you can get. now N-1 dual on the other hand is more tapered to the car. and if you dont want THAT much noise, stick with the N-1 dual. It's a better compromise between turbo/NA car setup.
shit man if noise isnt the issue I might as well go get an Apex GT spec and slap it on my car now! i can prob be heard from 4 blocks away...... but hey, there are like less than $450 from wholesale hyperformance!.
