Just tried to install fuel pressure gauge in the dark lol with a flashlight

Failed miserably.....started car, gas spraying like Ol' faithful....fuck

I figured out the problem...

The gauge (it is a Marshall liquid-filled gauge) came with two "barbed" fitting that "tee" off of it....

The barbed fittings however, don't create a snug enough seal....so I used some screw-style clamps to tighten the fuel injection hose down onto the barbs.

Unfortunately, it just isn't sealing it (probably bc there isn't a flat enough surface to squeeze the rubber down onto)....

Do you think that a flatter fitting will work?

barbed style (not the exact fitting of course):

straight style:

I wonder if I can find some like this ^ at Home Depot hmmmmmmm

Yeah this sucks, and I smell like gas, and there is gas all over my engine bay boooooooo

bigOOOOOOO^

I DID put clamps on them.....and tightened it super mad JDM tyte, but it still leaked....hmmmm

I just realized....maybe it could be that the clamps I used were too big....meaning that by the time I tightened them down enough, it is not able to stay in round and seal it well.....

I will try tomorrow morning with smaller hose clamps....

BigO did you say you are also using the barbed fittings?

If so, there is no reason mine shouldn't work....I could see the fuel spraying out of the end of the hose, like it wasn't sealed tightly

thx

Ok so I am thinking maybe I should either try a hose with a smaller I.D. or first I will try using smaller clamps

Thanks ya'll

Great Success!!!!!

Lol....finally got the FPR and fuel pressure gauge installed okay.....it was as I thought.....the hose clamps I were using were too big, so when I tightened them down enough to hold the hose, they had become out of round...

I used smaller ones, and everything is fine. Stock fuel pressure was about 40 psi before FPR install....I installed the Nismo FPR and backed it down to about 35 psi (around 44 psi without vacuum line hooked up)

Thanks for input anyone gave word....
