Hi, I have a 93 fastback and the engine is blown.  Since the engines from 91-98 are all basically the same, the transmission should match up with any year motor, correct?  i know i sound like an ass but i just wanna make sure.  thanks

Yeah I believe they do.

the trannys are the same but be careful. The motors are very very different. People dont want to admit to it but a KA24DE from 91 is VERY different from a 97-98. Just warning you ahead of time.

Does anyone know exactly what is different about a 91 motor. All I have heard is that the cams are different. I don't know, but wouldn't mind knowing for bragging rights... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
