View Full Version : Fuel pressure gauge...before or after rail?

Where is the proper place to install the sensor for my fuel pressure gauge?

In the feed line just before the rail?

or

After the rail & fuel pressure regulator in the return line to the tank?

My thought would be in the feed line just before the rail, so the gauge could read the fuel pressure the injectors are "seeing."

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Any input is appreciated.

fuel pressure gauge goes between the fuel filter and your fuel rail.

After the rail is just returning fuel, the pressure level in that line has absolutely no value to you as a tuner.

And if you have and after market FPR, it probably has a connection on it for a gauge.

With stock FPR gauge should go after the filter and before the rail as stated above.

Read carefully... was referring to gauge depending on FPR location...double "ugh"
