Are these bulbs Minnesota state leagal? Also I have the stock 1995 Nissan 240sx SE fog lights. I know I can't change the bulb in them. I heard if I want a different color I'd have to switch out the complete fog light. I was wondering if you guys provide anything like that as well.

So, anyone on here know the correct bulb type for stock us s14 zenki headlight low beams. The link says 9003 but I run h4's in mine. And if 9003 is considered to be H4, why are there seperate 9003 and H4 bulb types in the dropdown when you order. So which ones should I get if I want s14 zenki lowbeams?

I also heard somewhere that some HID kits fitted in the stock zenki lights produce light that goes all over the place and is hard to aim so it won't blind everyone on the road. But I think they were talking about cheap ebay kits and I haven't heard any complaints on here about this kit. Anyone on here have this kit on their zenki?

Scattering light has to do with your headlights, not the quality of the bulb. The quality of the bulb has to do with the actual light output, color, clarity, and how well the kit is put together/how long it will last. I have a kit from these guys and they are awesome.

The stock kouki projectors have surprisingly good cut off and the color of 4300 is identical to 350Z/G35/BMW/etc headlights (I know from driving next to them and our headlight beams cross and they're exactly the same).

I've got some friends wanting HIDs, I'm going to send them your way.

the zenki should be a H4 fitment. anybody disagree??

as for color.. 4300k is what factory hids run. BECAUSE the headlight housings and lens are designed for HID, they can optimize the yellow parts for the road and the colored part for you to see when you look at it. giving it a nice look and yielding great light output.

when you shove hids into a car that's not designed for it, sometimes scattering of the lights, or not good output can occur. but some cars,
mainly projector headlight cars(like s13 triple beam, S14 Kouki) since they
have factory projectors, it seems to put out a great amount of light, looks
good and doesn't glare much.

so if you wanna do a front end conversion and want to run HIDS, like a drop in kit, i would recommend to go triple beam on S13, and kouki on a s14.

im not saying it'd be terrible with other headlights, its just that sometimes
it can glare. the bulbs are laser aligned so that the hot spot(brightest) part
is exactly where the halogen bulbs hotspot location. down to 1mm.

Just got my set and put them on, quality seems good, came with harnesses and everything, just had to figure out which plugs to use/ not to use.

Now I just need to adjust my headlights.

hey fusion, im not sure what you are saying. are you saying that you have HID high beams and that you want to get hid low beams?
if thats the case you would need to get another HID kit. ballasts can only be hookedup to one bulb at a time. YOU CAN ditch your hi beams and just buy
bulbs and use the old ballast. but with that in mind, you're gonna be out 90 bucks. the hid kits are on special so for 135 shipped u can get a whole system.

do you have any head on shots for 6000k-10000k hids for a s14 zenki. i want to see how bright they are with oncoming traffic.

pictures are really deceiving.. i mean depending on exposure
of the camera and the settings, it can fool you. from gathered
information ALL over the internet. HIDS typically give you 300% light
increase.. in lumens and whatever else.

So you will definatly see a lot better.

let me give you a little info before you make a decision.
4300k would be the BRIGHTEST color you can select. 6000k
is very close, but has a little bit(very very little) less light output.

The higher K's like 8000, 10000 and 12000 just gives it MORE color..
u will actually have less light output because the color gets absorbed
into the road(kinda like a black light on a black surface).

The brightness to outcoming traffic is dependant on how you aim your headlights and what kinda shielding if any the headlight has.

With correct aiming, glare/on coming traffic shouldn't be a problem.

In my own experience (and yes, I've personally run all three temperatures),

4300K is OEM yellowish-white, it's kind of stock looking on the ground. looks great in oem hid projectors (with colorful cutoffs)

6000K is slight-bluish-white, it's too "cool" of a color on the ground and it hurts my eyes. most people get this because they like the "upgraded/bluish-white" look from the front of the car

5000K is whitish-white, it's super white on the ground, plenty of light output, and still has the "upgraded/hid" look when you look at the car from the front

My first time installing an HID kit took me about an hour and a half (most of the time spent at finding a place to mount the HID ballast at a safe place, just 10 mins to hook up the HID kit itself)

I have encountered this kind of problems with H4 housings but not headlights from car manufacturers. It may just because of the aftermarket housing you have. Should be an easy trim to make it work

has anyone been able to get these installed on Silva triple projectors on the lowbeam? Im curious cuz i dont know how to get the hid h1 bulbs to stay in the housing. The hid bulb only has wires comming out of it, so i cant plug it into the stock unit piece.
The thing that holds the stock bulb in place is built into the same unit that the stock h1 bulb plugs into.

DO NOT BUY FROM JRT LIGHTING!

Maybe I'm being anal..

But when i thought i was buying a "new" HID KIT,
I didn't expect to get one that was already used,
missing the relays, and a couple other things off the checklist.

It didnt even come in its original box.

They havent replied to my messages, so I felt I should do something.
I feel cheated, because I payed for something that I NEVER got.
[Technically, I got it, just.. not what I paid for.]

The ballasts and ballast holders have scuffs on them.

Got it working without the relay and other crap wiring. 1/2 done to compare. I have bosh housings (and bosh bulb on passenger side). Also, the glare isn't as bad as it appears to be in the pictures.

We are more than happy to exchange whatever parts you feel it is used (or scuffs, as you mentioned). We do not sell and in fact, we do not even own any used ballasts.

Maybe I'm being anal..

But when i thought i was buying a "new" HID KIT,
I didn't expect to get one that was already used,
missing the relays, and a couple other things off the checklist.

It didnt even come in its original box.

They havent replied to my messages, so I felt I should do something.
I feel cheated, because I payed for something that I NEVER got.
[Technically, I got it, just.. not what I paid for.]

The ballasts and ballast holders have scuffs on them.
I took pictures and will post upon request.

I ended up not using the relay and associated wiring. Probably not safe (20 year old thin wires aren't meant to carry that much power) but meh.

Interesting...so you didnt plug directly into the battery then eh? So basically they are plug and play as log as you dont use the relay setup that plugs into the battery...but if you want to use the relays then you have to do some wire splicing? I am not following...:duh:
Did you not use the relays because it was going to be a big hassle?

got mine and installed them. so far they work great. the only thing I had to do was dremel out a hole in the stock housing backing door to fit the ruber backing into. no big deal. Beside that it was just crimping 2 wires and attaching the relay leads to the battery, mounting the ballasts and plugging everything in. Call me a noob, but it took me and a friend about 3 and a half hours in total. It really helps to have 2 people to do this instal. I found it made it much easier if you take the headlights out to install the new bulbs. I have a 1997 Kouki with an sr20 swap and there ist a lot of maneuvering room and it is hard to see what you're doing without rmoving the headlights.

FALSE. 12K is much much dimmer than 4k-5k.... Those are the temperatures that emit the greatest amount of light.
